Fers (auch Fersan oder Alferza; pers. ferzin = β€žWesirβ€œ, β€žBeraterβ€œ) ist die Bezeichnung fΓΌr eine Schachfigur im Schatrandsch, einer frΓΌhen Schachvariante. Im heutigen Schach ist er durch die Dame ersetzt. Er kann nur ein Feld diagonal ziehen, er ist somit ein (1,1)-Springer. Die Bezeichnung Fers wurde vor allem in englischen, franzΓΆsischen und lateinischen Handschriften benutzt, wobei lateinische BΓΌcher den Fers oftmals aus ungeklΓ€rten UmstΓ€nden im Text als regina β€šKΓΆniginβ€˜cite-ref-1[1] und bei Diagrammen als fers bezeichneten.

In der russischen Sprache ist die Bezeichnung Π€Π΅Ρ€Π·ΡŒ (transkribiert: Fers) auch heute noch fΓΌr die Dame gebrΓ€uchlich.
